Dray. Not exactly a word we use everyday anymore. Ask your kids about it…see if they know what a dray is.
This photo takes us back to 1909..back to the days when, as advertised on the wall of one building..you could get a REALLY GOOD 5- cent cigar.
The fellow handling the team is Len Grover who operated a dray for about ten years or so from 1905.
The picture was taken in front of what now is the National Food Store.

A dray is a wagon or cart used to haul goods from one place to another.
